여름방학을 맞이하여 시골 할머니 댁으로 놀러 간 주인공 '영희' 와 동생 '영은'.
할머니 댁에 도착하자 그곳엣 거대한 이족보행 개구리 '연두' 가 있었는데….
처음에는 겉모습부터 행동까지 이해하기 힘든 연두에 대한 편견과 오해로 영희는 연두를 멀리하게 되지만
